We first generte sample text (random or from a specific source). Then, depending on the person's chosen level we omit extra characters and only show letters below the practisin glevel. For example, the first level in English practising contins only letters 'a' and 's'. When the users presses a button we extract the corresponding key (via event.keyCode or event.which) and verify it; if it is correrct then we proceed to the next character.<br /><br />How can you help me in order to add your language?<br /><br />1)I need to know how each character in your languge is produced by keyboard. For this purpose, I need a mapping table from the first 128 ASCII characters to the letters in your language. Thansk to Microsoft, I can easily do this by using a nice MS software for <a href="http://www.microsoft.com/globaldev/tools/msklc.mspx">creating keyboard layouts</a>.<br /><br /><br />2)What are our sources for producing sample texts? For English, I currently use Yahoonews. It's all about the type practicing software that I have written and is available <a href="http://www.sharifiha.com/type/">here</a>.<br /><br />Right now, it supports English and Persian and, as time goes, I plan to add more languages. My aim is to make it a universal type practicing tool for every language. Thanks to UNICODE for simplifying my job.<br /><br />I will later add a how-to-do post for those who want their language to be supported.
